Follow Your Passion
EphemeraApologies for the lack of posting anything new for the past little while. Christmas was very difficult for me and I really just wanted to get through it and get on to 2010. Though the last half of 2009 was without question the most difficult period of my life, it allowed me the chance to do a great deal of introspection about what matters in my life and what I choose to do, as well as who I choose to be, for the remainder of my time here. Just for the record, I would not have gotten though any of this without my friends, both new and old. You know who you are and you know how humbled and thankful I am to have you in my life.
So what’s next? Well, the name of the game is passion. Finding it. Following it. As many of you know, Frank, Niiki and I built a little photo community called Faded & Blurred. For the last few months, we’ve been working hard on creating the next evolution of the site. We are pretty happy with the results. Since launching F&B 2.0 on December 23rd, we have seen over 25,000 page views by more than 11,000 unique visitors. Return visitors have more than doubled and as of this post, we have 115 new registered members. When you add to that the more than 60 of you who have decided to join us on F&B365 it all adds up to awesome…and we’re just getting started. We’ve got some fantastic things in the works for 2010. Beyond F&B, I’ve got a bunch of new art that is in process and will see the light of day soon.
My Mom always told me to live with passion and nothing has punctuated the importance of that more than losing her. None of us knows how long we have. All we can do is find the passion in our own lives and earn it, which is exactly what I intend to do. What’s your passion?
