Just got home from the first session of my Photoshop class. WOW! 60+ people in the house! We had people in the aisles and even a few outside the door listening in. It was really wonderful that so many people turned up to see what it was all about. In fact, to all of the folks who did show up tonight…THANK YOU! Thank you for taking the time and for sharing a bit about yourselves. Most of all, thank you for letting me wax poetic about photography, the importance of narrative and this beast called Photoshop. I’m looking forward to the next session and hope that you all come back. I really think it’s going to be a great experience. Next week…LAYERS!

I love my Wacom tablet. It’s my third one, and I find it very difficult to function within Photoshop and Lightroom without one. Wacom have just released the new Intuos 4 line of tablets and I must say they are definitely drool-worthy. Illuminated function buttons and their new “touch ring” to quickly control scrolling, zooming and brush size. Oh, and the tablet is reversible for us lefties…Yes, please.
