I’ve updated the site with a short slide show (1:15) showing some of the more subtle details of one of my recent mixed media pieces, On The Line. Twenty five years ago, Steve Jobs and the team at Apple changed the world. At the Flint Center for the Performing Arts, in front of an audience of about 3000 people, Steve powered up the Reality Distortion Field and unveiled the Macintosh. They also produced one of the most famous commercials of all time, the 1984 spot.
Take a look at the trailer for Objectified, Gary Hustwit’s upcoming documentary about design and designers. Some of the designers interviewed in the film include Marc Newson, Karim Rashid and Apple’s Jonathan Ive. Gary Hustwit is also the director behind the brilliant documentary Helvetica. If you are even the slightest bit interested in typography or visual communication, you really should check it out.
